The temperatures may still be on the colder side these days, but rest assured, spring is around the corner! Warmer weather lures more people outdoors, making it the ideal time to attend spring events in the Triad. Here are some suggestions for fun things to do in our area this spring.
Greensboro Food Truck Festival
Get out and sample delicious fare from Greensboro area food trucks at the Greensboro Food Truck Festival. More than 50 food trucks will be parked in downtown Greensboro at Green Street, Market Street and Elm Street from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. on April 24, 2022. There will also be craft beer, live music, kid’s activities and craft vendors — something for the entire family. This is a free event. For more information, click here.
Battle of Guilford County Courthouse
Each year the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department sponsors a reenactment of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse at Greensboro Country Park. This year’s event will be held on March 12 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and again on March 13 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The battle reenactment will take place at 2 p.m. both days. Come out and learn more about the major role the Battle of Guilford Courthouse played in the American Revolution. Spring Equinox Hike on the Bill Craft Trail
Calling all hiking enthusiasts… lace up your boots and plan to join in on the Spring Equinox Hike on the Bill Craft Trail. This seven-mile hike will take approximately three hours, but it will be a great way to learn about and recognize the signs of spring in our area. Chalk Walk 2022
On Saturday, March 26, the Greensboro Arboretum will be the place to be for all local artists and budding artists. The community is invited to design original chalk art creations on the sidewalks that wind through the city’s gorgeous botanical garden. Registration and a $10 fee is required to participate. On Sunday, March 27, the public is invited to take a stroll through the garden and enjoy viewing all the creative art displays. For more information, visit here.
Spectacular Tulip Bloom
Come out and enjoy a feast for your eyes at the Spectacular Tulip Bloom at Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden, located just 15 minutes from Greensboro proper. During the first two weeks of April, the community is encouraged to walk through the gorgeous gardens and see the bulbs at their showy best. The Paul J.
