This month, we’re highlighting the 2022 Regional Transportation Symposium, held on November 1st. This event brought transportation representatives from the federal, state, and municipal levels together to discuss state-level opportunities for minority business development as a result of the recently-passed Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). Approximately 200 attendees participated in the full-day event, which included in-person, virtual, and hybrid sessions, and a vendor/business expo. Participants checked in at the Registration Desk and made their way to the Pre-Function Area, where beverage and dining services were set. The Auditorium was used for full-group sessions, which included a video presentation and hybrid meeting, utilizing Zoom technology. Smaller group break-out sessions were held in the BB&T Oak Ridge Room and Business Resource Center, with panel discussions on multiple topics.
