Representatives from the Piedmont Triad Apartment Association (PTAA) held a Reverse Trade Show on March 7th in the Truist Oak Ridge Room. What’s a Reverse Trade Show, you ask? Well, according to those we spoke with at the event, it’s a little like “speed dating with a twist.”

Each apartment management company had a table appointed with tablecloths, banners, and other “swag”. Businesses that serve those apartment communities – like HVAC, security, or landscaping – rotated around each table to introduce themselves. A timer was projected on the four large projection screens in Truist Oak Ridge, and when five minutes was up, an announcement was made for the businesses to move to another table. The crowd seemed to enjoy this creative format, and we enjoyed watching it take place.
So, yes. Kind of like speed dating, but for businesses, right?
