Smith Leonard selected The Conference Center at GTCC for hosting their CPE Day on October 20, 2023. The corporate event brought 235 participants to The Conference Center. As they made their way into the opening session, Traditional Continental Breakfast with Bakery-Fresh Breads, Pastries, Muffins, Assorted Bagels, Seasonal Fresh-Cut Fruit and Orange Juice was available in the Pre-Function Area. Pre-packaged snack selections of Trail Mix, Nature Valley Granola Bars, and Quaker Rice Crisps were offered for a mid-morning break.
In order to accommodate the large group at lunch, dining areas were set in both the Truist Oak Ridge and Pre-Function areas. A plated lunch service was provided by our catering Partners, Plain & Fancy Caterers.
A Salad of Crisp Greens with Julienned Carrots, Grape Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Olives, Radishes, and Balsamic Dressing, and French Baguettes with Butter were pre-set by the catering team. Once the guests were seated, they were served Mediterranean Chicken with Capers, Sundried Tomatoes, Red Onions, and Kalamata Olives, with a White Wine Sauce. Vegetables included Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Shallots and a Balsamic Glaze.
The afternoon break offered Southern Style Banana Pudding Cups and Caramel Sea Salt Brownies. At the end of the day, a reception/social hour was held. The bar menu included both domestic, imported, and craft beers, wine selections, non-alcoholic beverages, and Chef’s Gourmet Snack Mix.
To add a little fall “flair” to the catering setup, floral centerpieces were created by The Conference Center staff. A small fresh floral centerpiece is always complimentary with our Cameron Hot Lunch Package.
