Our employee spotlight this month is Linda Justice, Guest Services and Events Coordinator. Linda has been employed with GTCC for over 14 years but joined the Conference Center team in 2018. Her responsibilities include all things Guest Service at our reception area (and always welcoming guests with a warm hello and a smile), planning and coordinating Conference Center events and scheduling GTCC internal events at other campus locations using the college scheduling software, Ad Astra. We also want to highlight that Linda is a super user on Ad Astra, and is responsible for training new users on how to navigate the system, as well as assisting with reporting and trouble shooting.
Due to her long tenure at the college, Linda serves as a great resource to students, faculty and visitors alike on the Cameron Campus. Prior to joining the GTCC community, Linda worked in sales and various hospitality positions in the hotel industry. She graduated from the Office Systems Technology program at GTCC before obtaining her BSBA from UNCG. What we love most about Linda is her flexibility and her positive attitude towards teamwork. She is always willing to lend a hand, no matter what the task might be.
One client had this to say about Linda: “We had a very successful meeting thanks to all your coordination with set up”. A training participant on the Ad Astra software had this to say about Linda’s training session: “I loved the way she interacted with the class – she was very informative and knowledgeable about the software and was extremely engaging!”
Fun facts: Linda loves Starbucks, dogs and traveling to New York City anytime she gets the chance!
