Recently, we hosted the Campus Greensboro Fellows Program Leadership Training at The Conference Center. The Fellows Program is an initiative of Campus Greensboro for young professionals and is a competitive summer program that includes a paid industry internship.
The 2-day leadership training took place in our Auditorium, which is a tiered space that seats up to 250 guests in fixed classroom style. This is an ideal environment for disseminating content, showing videos, and facilitating presentations on the large drop-down presentation screen. The group was also able to use this space for interactive work sessions with their peers dispersed throughout the day to keep the participants energized and learning. The program also utilized Truist Oak Ridge AB and Truist Oak Ridge CD for dynamic breakout sessions. The breakout sessions were set in a chairs-only configuration in each space, specific to the group’s training exercise needs. Facilitators provided instructions to the group within each space and assisted with the hands-on exercises.
Catering was served each day for training participants in the Pre-Function Space and included Continental Breakfast along with Boxed Sandwich & Salad Lunches each day. This space offered round table seating so that attendees could network with their peers during lunch.
Over the course of the 2-day training, the Fellows were able to learn more about each other, as well as themselves, and how to use their new skills in their respective internship locations. The participants brought a lot of energy each day, and we know they made great connections during their time at the event.
