In September, we hosted the synerG Young Professionals “2024 Lead Your City Summit”. This is an annual event put on by synerG, under the umbrella of Action Greensboro, to encourage career expansion and network development in young professionals within the Greensboro community. Focusing on the social, professional, and civic needs of this demographic, the Summit provided interactive workshops for professional development in areas to include conflict management, professional communication & etiquette, giving and receiving feedback, and adopting a growth mindset.
The group utilized the Auditorium for their general session meeting space which kicked off with a “Mindful Movement” segment, leading attendees through stretching and breathing exercises to prepare them to welcome the day’s activities. Interactive breakout sessions were held in Truist Oak Ridge AB, the Business Resource Center and Classrooms 130/131 Combined. Click here for an interactive floor plan to learn more about our breakout spaces and capacities.
Catering was served throughout the day in the Pre Function Space and included a Continental Breakfast with bagels, fruit and juice during registration, followed by a healthy morning break of fruit and house-made granola bars. For lunch, the group enjoyed our Southwest Fiesta buffet lunch (a client favorite) with Caramel Sea Salt Brownies for dessert (yum!), all provided by our exclusive catering partner, Wright Brothers Catering Group.
In addition to professional development and delicious meals, attendees were able to enjoy professional headshots offered by Shaw Photography Group, raffle prizes throughout the day, a Free One-Year Subscription to The Assembly and the option to tour the Honda Aircraft Company facility after the event.
Excellent networking opportunities were also available throughout the day as well as a networking reception offered after the summit in our Lobby Areas. Hors d’oeuvres were served along, a selection of beer and wine, giving attendees the opportunity to unwind after a full day of learning and connecting.
This was an exciting day for the Young Professionals of Greensboro to come together for engaging learning, development, and networking. Want to know how you can get involved? Learn more here: GSO synerG Young Professionals
