The NC Community College System Office hosted its College and Career Readiness Convocation on August 15 and 16, 2023. Over 125 attendees from all 58 community colleges were represented. Morning sessions included a welcome from Guilford Technical Community College administration and a “roll call” activity, where representatives from each college shared a few interesting facts about their campus.
They were also well-fed during the event - participants enjoyed a Traditional Continental Breakfast prior to the day’s start and gathered for working lunch sessions in the Truist Oak Ridge Room on both days. Lunch selections included an Italian Pasta Buffet on day one and Boxed Lunches on day two.
On the second day, participants attended a series of four small group breakout sessions held in the Auditorium, Truist Oak Ridge Room, Classrooms 130 and 131 Combined, and Business Resource Center. Everyone reconvened in the Auditorium for the closing session and an opportunity to network before heading back to their respective campuses. We hope they’ll join us again next year!
