In July, The Conference Center at GTCC had the pleasure of hosting the UNCG SERVE Center Belonging & Wellbeing in Education: North Carolina Showcase. A leader in educational research and service, the SERVE Center is dedicated to advancing effective teaching and learning through data-driven insights and practical solutions. The event served to spotlight innovative practices and fostering collaborations by gathering educators, policymakers, and community leaders from across the state.
Guests were welcomed with a Continental Breakfast in the Pre-Function Space, followed by welcome announcements and a Keynote Speaker presentation at the Auditorium. With seating for up to 250 guests, the Auditorium features state of the art Audio-Visual equipment which allowed for a virtual Keynote Speaker presentation, seamlessly integrating technology to elevate the guest experience. The Pre-Function Space served as the perfect location for food and beverages, offering seating for up to 134 guests with natural light, allowing for creative discussions for meeting attendees.
Following the Keynote Address focused on the Framework for Educator Wellbeing, breakout sessions led by North Carolina-based school administrators and educators took place in the Truist Oak Ridge Rooms as well as Classrooms.
The Truist Oak Ridge Rooms offer a multi-purpose meeting space that can be transformed into combinations of one, two, or four separate spaces with the use of soundproof partition walls. This also allows the rooms to be combined with the Auditorium to seat up to 500 guests in Theatre Style. And let’s not forget that Classrooms 130 & 131 are flexible as well! Offering the choice of combining the space to accommodate up to 70 guests, or as individual classrooms seating over 30 guests in each room, they serve as the perfect location for breakout sessions.
With state-of-the-art facility features and flexible meeting spaces designed to accommodate a wide range of conferences and events, The Conference Center at GTCC served as the perfect welcoming atmosphere showcasing productive dialogue and networking for this year’s conference.
