Depending upon the type of event and atmosphere you wish to provide for your guests and presenters, The Conference Center offers a wide range of functional furniture to help make your vision a reality.
Our rolling and stationary tables are great for traditional classroom-style setups, but our clients have also used them for events where vendor locations or information fairs were needed.
The NC Community College System’s Equity Coach Academy, held in fall 2023, used a more functional layout for the existing conference tables in the Truist Business Resource Center. The tables, typically set in a classroom style, with all participants facing the front of the room, were arranged in a “pods” style, which allowed ample space for small groups to interact and still have room for laptops and materials.
If you are planning on having a panel discussion at your event, several options for seating are available. The 2023 LatinX Conference used our club chairs on the Auditorium stage, and the panel guests were able to utilize them to create a more informal “fireside chat” type of setting.
High-back chairs are also available. The event shown here was held in the Truist Oak Ridge Room, and the audience, seated at tables, were better able to see the speakers. Glass cocktail tables were placed in between the chairs.
Standing-height glass cocktail tables, with small floral arrangements provide intimate gathering areas for receptions. For more formal occasions, specialty linens like these may also be used.
Clients who use the Truist Business Resource Center may also take advantage of the two small Conference Rooms, furnished with comfortable armchairs and a table. These rooms are well-suited for more private meetings or may serve as a place for meeting participants to take quick breaks to make phone calls or hold sidebar conversations.
Now that the weather is getting warmer, you may wish to take advantage of the wonderful patio at The Clubhouse at Cameron Campus. The serene setting makes a great backdrop for breakfasts, lunch breaks, or receptions. Umbrellas are available to provide a little shade in the afternoon heat.
