Space Highlight: Navigating ALS – Key Takeaways from ALS United North Carolina’s Symposium

On September 30th, The Conference Center at GTCC proudly hosted ALS United North Carolina’s Navigating ALS Symposium. This impactful event brought together individuals and families affected by ALS to share knowledge, resources, and create a stronger sense of community.

The event was held in the Truist Oak Ridge Room, known for its versatile setup and comfortable atmosphere, which provided an ideal environment for the day’s educational sessions and presentations. The spacious and well-lit room allowed attendees to focus on the expert-led discussions that addressed the latest developments in ALS care and research, as well as effective caregiving strategies.

In addition to the main event space, the Pre-Function Space served as a vibrant gathering area for networking and sponsor engagement. Attendees were able to explore various sponsor tables, featuring valuable information on equipment, services, and community resources for individuals living with ALS. This setup facilitated smooth transitions between presentations and offered a comfortable place to connect, ask questions, and discover support options.

The symposium wasn’t just about knowledge-sharing but also about fostering a deeper sense of belonging within the ALS community. With opportunities to engage in discussions and connect with others who share similar experiences, attendees left the event feeling more informed and empowered.
